A reflective learning and program orientation is offered at the start of each semester. This orientation will introduce you to Loyola’s School of Education mission, key instructional tools, and provide in-depth information regarding your program curriculum. Orientations are by program.

New students will receive the orientation date and RSVP link in their welcome letter, which is sent via email.

School Counseling

The School Counseling program will host a new student orientation on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 6:00-7:30p.m. Please note this is an in-person session that will be offered 51°µÍø's Evergreen Campus. Registration and parking information will be provided in your new student welcome email. 

Learning Design & Technology

The Learning Design & Technology program will host a virtual new student orientation on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 7:00pm. Registration information was included in your new student welcome email. 

Educational Leadership

The Educational Leadership  (Masters and Post Master's Certificate) program will host a virtual new student orientation on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 7:00pm. 

Montessori

The Montessori program hosts both synchronous and asynchronous new student orientations at the start each admission term. The Montessori program will host a virtual New Student Orientation on Thursday, January 8th at 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. Registration information will be included in upcoming communications.

Master of Arts in Teaching

The Master of Arts in Teaching program will host a virtual new student orientation on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 6:00-7:30p.m. Registration information will be included in your Welcome email. 

Special Education

The Special Education program will host a virtual new student orientation on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 5:00-6:00p.m. Registration information will be included in your Welcome email. 

Literacy Education (including Reading Specialist, ESOL, and CLDL)

The Literacy Education programs will host a virtual new student orientation on TBD.  Registration information will be included in your Welcome email. 

Curriculum and Instruction for Social Justice 

The Curriculum and Instruction for Social Justice program will host a  virtual new student orientation on TBD. Registration information will be included in your registration and orientation email.
