Let's Get Started

Welcome to Loyola's School of Education! You have been admitted and are now trying to figure out your next steps.

Whether it's completing your student health profile, signing up for orientation, meeting with your academic advisor, obtaining your technology credentials, or registering for classes—we have you covered. Please visit our New Student Checklist website for more information.

Loyola's School of Education offers a reflective learning and program orientation workshop at the start of each fall semester (some programs offer them more frequently). This orientation will introduce you to Loyola's School of Education mission, key instructional tools, and provide in-depth information about your program curriculum. Orientations are hosted by the academic program.

A full list of our upcoming academic program orientations can be found on our orientation website.

As a Loyola School of Education graduate student, you will have an individual academic plan that reflects your prerequisite requirements, departmental core, program core, and electives within your specialization.

Each student is encouraged to schedule a one-on-one academic advising appointment with their academic advisor either before or during the first semester of the program. The name and email of your academic advisor can be found at the bottom of your admission decision letter.

For more information about academic advising, scheduling your one-on-one meeting, or reviewing program academic worksheets, please visit our academic advising website.
